hey guys, got rid of the car.
it was originally destined to be my little bro's, was gonna give it to him and let him fix it up, but he was taking too long to take it away, so Garren from the SA fiat/lancia club piped up and said he'd take it off my hands for $500 bucks.
well, deal's done (well, money's on the way

) and the car's gone. things heard to be said were:
"wow, it's worse than i thought."
"that's the worst X1/9 i've ever seen."
well, it's the second best X1/9 i've ever owned.
to my surprise, after a little cranking the engine burst into life and ran smooth as a baby's butt, and revved happily. after 9 months of dormancy it was so cool to hear that thing alive again. i didn't think i'd be able to drive it onto the trailer though, as the gearstick isn't attached properly, however with a bit of fiddling i managed to find 1st, and drove it a good 30 metres then onto the trailer.
well, it's gone now. Garren reckons he mainly just needs the gearbox, and might make use of the engine, and has dreams of making an X1/9 race-car (don't we all

).
well, here's a couple pics and stuff:
off the grass, finally
spider induction
the old and new owners
on the trailer...
well, he'll probly be looking to sell his 124 race-car. if you're into that kinda thing, check it out here:
